Community Involvement – Westchester/Veterans
A Scoping Meeting to solicit input from public agencies, organizations, and members of the public regarding the scope and content of the EIR for the Westchester/Veterans and Crenshaw/Imperial TOD Plans will be held on November 14 starting at 6:30 pm and concluding no later than 9:00 pm, at the Community Room, City Hall (1st Floor), One Manchester Boulevard, Inglewood, CA 90301.
The City of Inglewood invites the public to attend the three community workshops that are being held in the first half of 2017. A final workshop will be held in late 2017 or early 2018 after completion of the Draft Environmental Impact Report. These workshops will occur at the following milestone stages of the project:
- Community Workshop 1: Issues and Opportunities
- Community Workshop 2: Review Conceptual Development Plan Alternatives
- Community Workshop 3: Review and Finalize Design and Development Standards
- Community Workshop 4: Review and Finalize City Regulatory Documents
The workshops will inform, encourage discussion and solicit feedback from the community to ensure that the Plans express the values, knowledge and ideas of the community as a whole, and that the community’s perspective is taken into account throughout the process.
The Arroyo Group surveyed people on the street and in public places around the Westchester/Veterans station area on December 12, 2016. People shared their opinions about the existing conditions of the area, and some desires for the future. Results can be found in the Existing Conditions Study (Planning & Design), page 24.
